The Dane County Peer Support Team is a dedicated group of first responders supporting first responders. We understand the weight of this work because we carry it too. As active members of law enforcement, fire, EMS, and dispatch across Dane County, we offer confidential, one-on-one support to our peers navigating the unique challenges of public safety service.
We provide peer support for the moments that stay with you: critical incidents, cumulative stress, personal struggles, and the everyday toll of responding to crisis. Our approach is simple: connect you with someone who gets it. Whether you need to talk after a difficult call, work through ongoing stress, or just want someone to listen, we're here.
All conversations are confidential. We're not therapists or administrators. We're colleagues who know that asking for support isn't weakness. It's what keeps us strong.
While based in Dane County, we serve first responders throughout the region. We also support families of first responders and collaborate with other peer support teams to strengthen networks across Wisconsin and beyond.

The Dane County Peer Support logo is more than a mark. It's a reflection of the people it represents and the strength they draw from one another.
Each figure stands for a vital part of our public safety network:
Symbols placed at each figure's chest (a headset, flame, star of life, and shield) reflect not just their roles, but their identities. Positioned near the heart, they speak to the personal weight of service.
Most powerful are the arms: interlocked, reaching for one another. Not a chain, but a circle. Unbroken and infinite.
This is the heart of peer support: mutual care, shared strength, and the promise that no one stands alone. This logo is a tribute to the humanity behind the uniform and the support that holds us all together.
